Monterey Detectives have posted a list of cold cases which they are working on and have asked assistance from the public who might have knowledge of the cases.
James Finnegan was shot twice in the back on Apr. 8, 1995 in the 2400 block of North Fremont St. in Monterey. At the time I guess there was an empty lot and there was a Tire Town and a Ralph’s and supposedly it was near the Cypress bowl parking lot. I think a lot of crime happens there. I don’t have a time for the murder so I put in 5:00 pm because the article says that Finnegan was coming off of work. He was an electrician and had been recently married.
The police say this was a road rage incident and that Finnegan made a wrong maneuver and got into a verbal fight with a group of males in another car. The astrology works out pretty well for this description because the chart shows a fire grand trine between Mercury (words, communications) c. the Sun (ego) and Eris in Aries (aggression) trine Mars (fights, violence, aggression) in Leo (ego) and Jupiter (opinions getting out of control) at 16 Sagittarius. Grand Trines are generally a positive influence but they can trap a person in a frame of mind. In this case the Grand Trine was fortunate for the murderers because they were never caught. 3 suspects were id’d but nobody was ever arrested. Mercury-Mars-Jupiter-Sun together are the perfect combination for road rage. Mercury rules cars and Mars rules rage.
James Finnegan, if my research is correct, was born on Mar. 5, 1954 in Atchison, KS. He was 41 years old so was at the key astrological mid-age cycle point when the first Uranus opposition and first Neptune square occur. That’s when the transiting planet aspects its natal position in a big way. Often people will become more aware of their relationship to various factors of the outer world. Sometimes they will become alcoholics because Uranus first shocks them and then Neptune makes them want to escape into a rosy colored haze. James Finnegan (I don’t have his birth time so don’t really know) may have been a double Pisces which is ruled by Neptune. He had a natal t-square in mutable signs which could indicate that he could be argumentative. Planets involved are Sun 15 Pisces-Venus 24 Pisces square Mars 13 Sagittarius opposing Jupiter 18 Gemini. Finnegan’s t-square which is a tense aspect hooks right into the Grand Trine through the Sagittarius planets.
Sometimes t-squares will give clues through their “empty leg.” That is the point which would fill out the figure into a full square. So this would be between 15-24 Virgo. Lots of ways to express that. Beyonce is a Virgo. Generally one might think to look into a service industry job employee who lives at home with his mother. I’m joking, sort of.
One can see the road rage markers here. Mostly one can see the double Pisces marker of trying to surrender and walk away. His cowardly murderers shot him in the back. Could also represent some poor driving maneuvers.
There is a lot to say here, of course. I would love to come back to this if I could at least get the time of the murder. 5 pm puts Virgo on the Ascendant and Pisces on the Descendant. This tells a lot about murderer and victim.
The Moon in Cancer was opposing Neptune in Capricorn which could indicate that drugs/alcohol were involved. All kinds of deals can be made in bowling alley parking lots. Finnegan drove a black 1979 Dodge Van and the murderers drove a 1969 white and red convertible Buick. Seems like that would have been easy to trace. There’s always the fog of war thing about Neptune, even in empty lots next door to Ralph’s and the tire store.
